Gantry Crane
The differences between portal cranes and overhead cranes are that the bridge structure is attached to the leg structure, allowing the crane to move on rails without the need for infrastructure such as a crane walking beam or column. Like overhead cranes, portal cranes can also be manufactured as double-girder or single-girder cranes. At least one of the legs has a guardrail ladder structure to allow access to the beam. Installation can be carried out in open or enclosed areas.
